Melodie Bridgeman, Partner
Melodie is co-founder of the Ponterre Group and brings more than 10 years of municipal community development and grant writing experience to the company. She previously worked as a Neighborhood Specialist for the City of Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program, a Project Manager for City of Saint Paul Department of Planning and Economic Development and the Vacant Properties Coordinator for the City of San Diego.
In addition to her government experience, Melodie was a project manager for Sherman Associates, an award winning, for-profit real estate development company specializing in mixed-use urban redevelopment. Melodie’s successes include raising over $50 million in local, state and federal grants, loans and tax credit equity. Several of her projects have been recognized nationally for excellence in design, innovation and results. Melodie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and International Relations from the University of Minnesota (1992).
Recent Projects:
- Secured $11.3M in multi-source financing for Park Avenue Apartments, a LEED-Certified housing development adjacent to the Center for Changing Lives human services hub.
- In a project management capacity, directed the refinancing process on a multi-family development in Roseville, including executing a complex relocation plan for 170 units.
- Secured Low-Income Housing Tax Credits for a $12.5M project in the southwestern suburbs, the first of its kind in that community.
- Increased the organizational and financial stability of a local shelter facility through an allocation of Emergency Shelter Grant funds through the City of Minneapolis.
